I'm quite a neutral person... I just can't get worked up on something that I don't have control over or doesn't have an emotional connection to me.

I understand exactly what you mean. People I know are on both sides of the immigration issue--and I will not side with anyone--only because I know it wouldn't help anyone, anyway, and arguing is not solving anything either way. I live in a border state--so people are fighting both sides of this issue. I feel that I just can't get involved--when people do, someone just starts arguing the other side anyway.

I get very upset with the people fighting all the time in the religion and politics categories. No one can win--no one is 100% right about either of these subjects. It is senseless to argue about these topics.

Though I do answer some of the young people's questions (by my own experiences and by those of my children), I cannot go near any more of those "Do you think he (or she) likes me?" These drive me crazy--no matter what the person tells them, there is no way for us strangers to know what's going on in the person's head.

Well, I'm better now, have a good night :)

On the subjects that require the most level-headedness- politics, religion. And if I decide to jump off my neutrality fence, I try to stay on the "for" side of things, not the "against" side. "For" generally unites, "against" divides. "For" is positive, "against" is negative. The same coin, different attitude.

I have had to remove myself from several discussions between my friends here on YA and 360. I prefer not to take part in fights. And controversial stuff is not something I like to discuss in public. So... I avoid the non-funny, argumentative ones at all costs. Sometimes I'll even read one of the combatant's posts and go, 'nooooo, you ain't gonna get me thata way!' lol

Race, religion, sexual orientation, and politics always seem to top the list of uncomfortable topics.

My daughter however feels that she just cant talk about OxyClean- its too painful!!! Kaboom scares her.....

Hell no, I'm either 0%... or 100%. Depening on the subject, of course.
