It has been coming up alot on my computer lately and it closes all my open windows.

I have windows xp, and mcafee internet suite 2007 installed. I have Internet explorer 6 and want to keep that. Should I uninstall it and reinstall internet explorer? If so, can I install 6 again or will I have to install ie7? I tried it (ie7) awhile back and didn't care for it. It seemed to be slower.
Please help me with this error!

here is the error ...
http://tinyurl.com/tlkfv

It says iexplorer.exe- application error
The instruction at "0x0800f5db" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".
Click ok to terminate the program
Click cancel to debug the program

Thanks so much! :)

All its doing is referencing IE7. There is a file that is the same as your IE6. It is in your registry.

I'd try looking at the windows update site (under tools).

I know you can still reinstall internet 6 (I like it a lot better than 7 myself).

The problem might get corrected as it sounds more like a conflict than anything else.
You can try the McAffee site or Norton and do a PC scan (in case a virus infiltrate your firewall.
You can try restauring your PC (Start button, all Programs, accessories, system tools. system restaure) which will bring you back to an earlier time without losing any programs or files
If all else fails, reinstall but you can still use version 6

One last question is have you installed version pack 1 and 2 for XP (this can be found on the windows update page under tools)

You could download firefox use that and then repair your internet explorer. Uninstalling and reinstalling it might repair it but make sure you have an alternative internet browser before uninstalling it and being screwed.
