I would suspect other things before increased food intake. It sounds like you may have a fluid build-up and that can be caused by heart failure, kidney failure or venous incapacity. If you are retaining too much fluid in your body, you can be prescribed diuretic tablets which will clear the fluid and make you feel better instantly. You really must see your GP though as, despite what others may have said here, this is not normal and a sudden increase in weight can be very harmful to your organs.

This about less than one stone increase in weight per week is not a disease. but if this trend continue and you become more fat continually, for more than a 3-month period, then u shall seek a remedy and most importantly the cause, such as sedentary jobs, polyphagia, or excessive rest, or some diseases like hypothyroidism, and certain endocrinological diseases which are associated with water retention in body. However, just this little increase in weight is in a normal range for this short period of time of course.

What you should do is drink two pints of water before you eat, then you won't feel that hungry, and you won't be able to consume that much food, you might want to have a few more pints if you feel like.Do this for a few weeks, if there is still a problem with your weight, then consult you doctor quiclky.
