I know many. They are obviously very gifted, and almost all high maintenance. It's like everything gets amplified. You might long for some simplicity if you get mixed up with this crowd. But, high risk, high reward. No pain, no gain. Or, is it -- No brain, no pain?

But, it also means they are more fun, more interesting, more well-rounded. This could also mean more baggage -- such as the baggage that comes with thinking that a genius IQ gives you the key to the universe -- an unfortunate tragic notion encouraged in childhood for many of these winners of the gene sweepstakes.

My husband's first wife was very low IQ, and I am very high IQ. He says that while I am a lot more interesting and diversified, it was a lot simpler to live with a simple woman. We can't help it, we have to think about things, run them through our "systems" and offer our perspectives rather than just buying into whatever we are told.

I don't think that you can generalize about personalities based on IQ because I have known lots of high IQ women who come in all sorts of personalities. Might be smarter to focus on their "baggage" (history) to figure out how and why they are who they are.... good luck!

Marilyn Vos Savant seems very nice, at least in her newpaper columns years ago (-:.

Seriously, I don't think personality is connected to IQ. It depends a lot on how you were raised and your core personality. You'll meet lovely women who have high IQs and low IQs. And you'll meet absolute b!tches who have high IQs and low IQs.

I think successful people in general sometimes have insecurity problems -- much more is expected of them, and so they might be more afraid of failure.

My boss is in MENSA. She is nice, meticulous, self reliant, generous, modest, and fair.

She doesn't sweat the small stuff, and presentation doesn't mean SQUAT to her--it is all about substance. She is my kinda person.

Oh, I forgot to say that I have a high IQ too--I'm a *****!

Ah, that would be me. 160. Opinionated, full of laughter and usually say what is on my mind. As you might guess this means I don't have suitors knocking down my door. BUT, I keep my sense of humor anyway!

Mine is higher. My personality is very happy, friendly, but somehow "different" to a lot of people. It's as though a lot of people have trouble understanding or relating to me..
