Yes.
My favorite one was "I'll hit you so hard your children will feel it"

No, but she threw me all the way across her bed one time when I was a kid and she got me in a wrestler's hold. A half nelson?
I don't know but those were the 60's and she was a sober housewife and loving mother. I towed the line, Dude, and she made me a believer!! Wow!! I sure pushed her button!! Only time too!! Now I think it's the coolest surprise I ever had!!
You Go Mom!!! @8-)

Here's a funny story that goes along with your question but my mother didn't say exactly that.

I was 14 and an inch taller than my mom. I was a bit cocky too and a little too big for my britches. I walked into the house and saw my mom washing dishes. She called for me so I went to her. Not once from now till this story ends did my mom take her eyes off the sink full of dirty dishes. She said to me, "Have you taken the trash out like I asked you to?" I said, "No. And I'm not going to." Without the slightest hesitation and her eyes still on the dishes she said, "Don't you back talk me boy. Now get the trash and take it out." Well, here's where my stupidity comes into play. I said, as I gave her a weak punch to the arm, "Why don't you make me." (To this day I still can not imagine the speed of what happened next.) As I was about to turn away from here I felt a rather wet yet very strong hand grasp a large portion of my hair and the next thing I knew I was flat on my back as she jerked me to the floor with power I could not have known she had. My head hit the floor with a mighty THUD. It happened so fast and not once had my mom taken her eyes off the dishes she was washing. From the floor where I laid with a tear in my eye I could hear my mom muttering to herself , "don't you tell me you're not taking the trash out, when I tell you to do something boy you damn well better do it, I can't believe you would say such after I have ....." I could still hear her mumbling as I picked up the bag of garbage to take it out. I looked back one final time before I walked out the door and realized ... I ain't never gonna be big enough to back talk MY momma.
