I don't know where I was born...?

Question

I was born in upstate New York, but I have no idea what hospital. Probably was in Canandaigua or Rochester, NY. My parents and grandparents aren't around anymore to tell me.

Any idea how I could find out? Preferably for free? I don't want to have to pay some service for searching public records.

go to google and put in the county that you were born in and the term vital records. For instance Rotchester Vital Records. Go to birth record and search by last name.
