7 months have 31 days , 4 months have 30 days, and 1 has 28 days.
So 7*16 + 4* 15 + 14 = 112 + 60 + 14 = 186 odd days.

"Odd dates" meaning dates where the day of the month is an odd number? A month with 30 days would have 15 even numbers and 15 odd numbers. A month with 31 days would have 16 odd numbers (since it includes the 31st). And February with 28 days would have 14 odd days. So take the number of days for each month and add them up.

To make a short cut here instead of adding up 12 different numbers: "Thirty days has September, April, June and November", which means there are seven months with 31 days. So the answer is (4*15) + (7*16) + (1*14).

Or, even easier: there are seven months with an odd number of days, mainly 31 days, meaning they have one more odd day than they have even days. You can do a calcluation that way too, knowing that the total number of even days plus odd days is 365. If x is the number of odd days, then (x-7)+x=365, so x= 186.
