What's a typical mugging like in your country?

People get mugged everywhere in the world, but there seem to be different styles. In England, you get a bunch of coked-up hoodlums in sweat shirts who punch you in the face and kick you senseless while you're lying on the ground, then they take your wallet and mobile phone and run away. Here in New Zealand, it's just the odd, unprovoked attack, with some whacko punching someone for no apparent reason. What's it like in the US, in Canada, Ireland, Jamaica, Scotland, Wales, Malta, what have you?

I've never even witnessed a crime in my lifetime, no one has in my family. I'm not saying there isn't crime here, but most crime is by gangs.

Anyways in the U.S well where I live, you get a short Mexican or African American with baggy clothing an alot of useless jewlery, pretending to have a weapon in there pocket, attempting to mug you.

But i'm sure there are different types of muggings. But there is alot of racial crimes here, mostly in L.A. Most crime is caused by African Americans an Mexican Americans, it's obvious. And like the girl above me said when they mug or attack someone, they do it in groups. Because it's obvious they can't fight on their own.

Here in California, it's the same. They gang up on you in packs.. beat you up and steal anything that has value (cell phone, ipod, cash). There are a lot of gangs here. They come at you in numbers--- really shows how pathetic they are... can't even fight their own battles. I kind of pity them since they''ll never amount to anything.
