I have this wonderful loving sexy girlfriend whom I love very very much. However she gets these moods and when in one of these moods she tells me how she has heard these promises and words b4 and I am sure she has. I need to prove to her that I am not ome of "those guys" and that I would never lie, cheat, or abuse. There are just too many guys who treat women like crap in this world and it makes it really hard for gentlemen like myself

You sound like a very decent human being and she is lucky to have someone so understanding. Just be supportive and give her time.

I am not going to lie to you, she may have been so emotionally damaged that it may take more than a terrific guy to turn her around. If this is the case, don't let the hurt you feel from the end of the relationship turn you into a bitter person. Hopefully, this isn't the case and it will work out.

You are worthy of being with someone who loves you. Give her time, hopefully she will come around. One person can change your life; in time she will hopefully see that you are that person.

Best of luck.

The only thing working for you is time and consistency. If she has been through a lot before you, be sympathetic, but tell her that the past is the past, and although you are willing to listen and help her where you can, it's not fair to take out her issues on you. Unless you do something that is wrong or hurtful to her, she needs to treat you with respect and work on her insecurities so it will not damage the current relationship you two are in.

Just keep being a good guy, if she sees it then she will stick around and stop telling you that, if she keeps telling you and doesn't get better then she never will, no matter how nice you are, then you move on to someone who will appreciate you for you.

Yawn- girls like this are sooo tiresome. She made bad choices in men, and now she expects every man in her path to "prove" himself to her-- when she's the one who picked the losers. I'd tell her to get over herself, get some therapy and IF she's ever ready for a real, healthy, normal relationship to call. She hardly sounds "wonderful" to me. She's playing the victim who refuses to take responsibility for her own bad choices.

I am so glad there are still a few gentleman in the world. You just have to be patient and earn her trust. Don`t push her just be there for her and eventually she will see that you are truly a gentlemen and wouldn`t do her wrong. GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!

Don't cheat or abuse her then. But put her on a pedestal and become her doormat, and she'll dump you.

Do you guys know how to keep a relationship exciting, nurturing and respectful?

I was like that at first with my husband but he just was consistent with his behaviour and actions and in keeping his promises and eventually I got over my issues and our relationship is stronger than ever, anytime i ever had questions he just looked me in the eyes, say bay that's not me, and kiss me until i forgot my name!

Time will show her. Patience and time. Keep telling her, and showing her with romance that she is the most incredible woman in the world. With time she'll believe it and love you all the more for it.

she has issues from her past, men who have used and hurt her, and when this happens in ones life, it is sometimes hard to believe we have found someone who won't do the same to us. just tell her that she is going to have to believe in u, and put her faith in u, and not judge u by what has hurt her in her past. proof is in a persons actions, not by their words or promises.

Actions speak louder than any words. And promises mean nothing.
