So you have the rest of your life to think about the murder you committed and how you impacted the victim's family. I think life imprisonment is much worse than the death penalty because you'll be spending your life in a jail cell, away from your family and friends. You can't be with your spouse or partner, and you can't get a soda when you're locked up. Life's simple pleasures disappear when you're incarcerated. If you have children, you mess up their lives by sitting in prison instead of being in their lives, and you have no one to blame but yourself. You spend the rest of your life feeling guilty and alone. You get off too easy with a death sentence; you pay dearly with life imprisonment.

I don't know why "they" do anything "they" do!!! I hate those "theys" don't you? But if I murdered someone I would beg God's forgiveness and want to die. The thief on the cross? He was hanging with Jesus (sorry, but he WAS) and he asked if he could come and Jesus said Is This afternoon Good for You?
The worst punishment to me would be a lifetime on death row.
I never know why criminals are so relieved when they get Life instead of the Death penalty!!! Serious as HELL!! @8-)

Because most juries are to sissified to give anyone the death sentence so they give life with a chance of parole in 30 years

Because if nobody ever murdered anybody else, there would be:
a. Really harsh verbal lashings between enemies
b. Many tortured people to the point of death but not dying because of enemies
c. TOO MANY PEOPLE!
