What are the blue stars for?

I just signed on, and I noticed these little blue stars next to all the questions. What are they for?

On the left side of the page, underneath "Categories" underneath, "Related Links" click on "What's going on in Answers?" Then click on "Read Our Blog." Then it should say something about "Seeing Stars." This will explain it to you. Good Luck!

Of course, but they each give off a lot of other light. Our eyes see it as say red because the eye is seeing much more reddish light than it is blueish. Similarly for blue except that the eye is more sensitive to blue so the star will look blue even if there is as much blueish light as there is redish light. There is also a lot of light coming from the stars that we can't see.

You can give a star from the questions now instead of a thumbs up. It's fun. You can give a 100 aday

The star is to indicate how many people thinks that your question is interesting (1 click per voter)... The more stars you have will most likely attract more attention from voters to click & look at your question... & get you more answers. ^_^

funny i asked the same thing. they appear to be taking the place of thumbs for the asker. i like that as thumbs downs get a little annoying
