what's the song for the ITV2 "Supernatural" advert?

The advert is for "Supernatural" series 2 on ITV2

they tune is great..but i don't know what it is. It's definately NOT Echo and The Bunny Men's "The Killing Moon"

Its a version of "Don't fear the reaper", but I haven't been able to figure out who is performing it on the ad.

It's the theme song from the movie Weird Science by Oingo Boingo. On a side note; why are ITV 2 trying to pass this season of the show off as new when it was on Channel 4 in 2009?
