=)

El Malecon in DR and in any other caribbean country is basically the coastal region. Usually they are found in the captial city. Natives and tourist meet here for a stroll, drinks, or a meeting place. There is no swimming allowed. Imagine the beauty of knowing that if you look towards one side all you'll see is land, and if you turn your head all you'll see is the ocean waves. BEAUTIFUL. The Malecon in DR is surrounded by hotels, palm trees, lots of ppl, and a magnificient night life. It's basically a waterfront boulevard.

Look... It's like a beach but you actually(i think)can't swim there.. It's like downtown,a lot of places to buy pizza,clothes,etc.. At night it is really beautiful, because it's dark but all the stores' lights are on... There are a lot of historical places there.. The old houses that were there a long time ago are still intact(of course they are a little old),La puerta del Conde is there and is where the three heroes(from Independence"padres de la patria") were buried... There are lots of coconut stands on the streets and ice cream stands" frio frios",and a lot of people flying kites... There are places where you can seat and see the beach and relax and things like that...
