How would you feel if someone else hit your kid? It's assault. Parents who hit their children should be locked up just like if they hit a spouse. It teaches kids to solve their problems through violence. It also puts teachers who do in danger. As a parent I would tell my kid, to beat the sh*t out of the teacher with whatever objects they could find if someone laid a hand on them.

My gf (now 29) still remembers her kinderkarten teacher who hit kids who had (bad marks) at the end of the day with a ruler. To this day, she wishes she get her back and beat her up.

The key isn't that one performs corporal punishments (ie, whipping, spanking, etc). The key is that people know that misbehavior won't be tolerated. When corporal punishment works, it is because the "energy" in people's world lets them know that they'd better'd behave, not because of the actual punishment itself.

Some of the highest crime areas in the world are areas where they have the death penalty, whippings, etc. Some of the lowest-crime areas have the lightest penalties.

As an act between consenting adults, I'm all for it (and I practice what I preach).

As a form of discipline for children, provided it is controlled, I am generally in favour of it. I accept, however, the difficulty in defining "controlled". I do feel that the increase in the ills of our society - vandalism, street thefts, petty crime, juvenile deliquency, etc. - can be traced back to the liberals who "spared the rod"

I totally agree with corporal punishment. If you didn't have it I think our crime (serious crimes) rate would increase greatly!

It is very good for societies that want to teach their citizens to solve their problems by hurting others.
