OMG....almost anything recorded in the 70s was great. I was a teen in the 70s and listened to the radio practically 24/7
So off the top of my head, a few of my favorites:

When I Need You - Leo Sayer
I Just Want To Be Your Everything - Andy Gibb
Angie Baby - Helen Reddy
How Deep Is Your Love - Bee Gees
You Light Up My Life - Debby Boone
Crocodile Rock - Elton John
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
I'd Really Love To See You Tonight - England Dan & John Ford Coley
Have You Never Been Mellow - Olivia Newton John
Werewolves of London - Warren Zevon
Baby I Love Your Way - Peter Frampton
Brand New Key - Melanie
Blue Bayou or anything else by Linda Ronstadt
absolutely anything by the Carpenters
Day By Day or anything else from the Godspell soundtrack
I Don't Know How To Love Him or anything else from Jesus Christ Superstar
Billy Don't Be A Hero - Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods :-D
Oh yeah can't forget Precious & Few by Climax or Drift Away by Dobie Gray!

Early 70's - "Layla" by Derek and the Dominoes (Clapton)
Mid 70's - "Cat Stratch Fever" by Ted Nugent
Late 70's - "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC
That's the harder stuff. Any Pink Floyd will do, "Time," "Money," and "Another Brick in the Wall pt. 2" are good hard ones. "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" and "Wish You Were Here" are good soft ones.
Led Zeppelin covers a variety of hard and soft, so you can't go wrong there.
For the true 70's experience, look into ABBA's "Fernando" and Styx's "Come Sail Away"
