Compassion for your fellow human being does not equate to compassion for a liar who sends thousands to die for their own, personal reason(s).

Understanding does not include understanding the hate filled extremists on the hard right's attitude toward the world around them.

Extreme right called me a traitor and a coward for disagreeing with invading Iraq. So I don't like you. Its that simple.

I don't hate them, but I find them annoying, kind of like selfish teenagers. Their leaders tend to be lying, imperialistic despots who have an ends justifies the means mentality. The only thing they seem to care about is their own personal bottom line. Compassion and understanding is one thing, but accepting bullying, lies and coercion is quite another. I will take my Pollyanna idealism over the cynicism, sarcasm, falsehoods and mean-spiritedness to which many Republicans seem to gravitate.

Once again you are confused. Bush, compassionate conservative, now are you understanding? I don't think democrats hate conservatives it's just that they are so hard to find, they have been stifled by the extremist right wingers. Bush can't even be considered a conservative, not while he is spending money like there is no tomorrow. Who hates Bush? I don't, I like a little bush every once and again.

Big Business, Big lies, Big Shots, snotty, rotten to the core liars

As opposed to Big Union, Big Perjury, Big Shots, snotty, rotten to the core liars?

Because they are HYPOCRITES, that's why. I have seen a lot more hatred from the left than the right, and the left are the ones always bleating about tolerance to everyone else.

It's a typical Democrat, do as I say, not as I do.

Remember, these people whining about Bush being a "liar" had no problem with Clinton committing perjury.

Have a nice evening.

I really can't believe this. It seems like half of the conservative strategy nowadays is to sit in the corner, nurse their wounds and call naysayers mean. If you're gonna wimp out like this every time you get beat then I say you deserve the dislike. Don't you have something you believe in? Something you can stand behind and fight for? I'd rather see Conservatives defending their position, compromising, analyzing, not acting like 4-year olds. Sheesh.

Who said Democrats are the "Party of Compassion and Understanding"? As far as I can tell from their Q's and A's on here, they are simply a lunatic-fringe group of haters and sociopaths.

Simply put, the party "compassion and understanding" is a lie. They are the party of bigotry, condescension, self hatred, and racism
