A couple of my virus scanners say viruses are in that folder but when I look in it, I don't see the viruses. Am I missing something?

They are just free scanners so they tell me exactly where the problem is, but I have to pay like $40 for it to remove the virus.

Most likely, the files are "hidden". To see them, do this: (in win xp)
start->settings->control panel-> Folder options.
Then click on view tab and select "show hidden files". Close the control panel and try seeing the files in that folder.
