I have a bank account, but I'm not putting any money into it because of a nasty arbitration case. So Ive been cashing all my paychecks but I'm trying to save money. It's really hard to save money when the cash is right there. So where can I put my money to save it, but that can't be garnished by the courts??

Buy savings bonds? Those you keep in your possession and they make a little bit of interest. I'd think the courts could take CD's, or investments, so I'd say savings bonds. You can always cash them later when you wanted the money.

Get a really large jar or jug (glass is best) with a lid. Make a small opening in the top of the lid, just big enough for a couple bills and change to go in. Super glue the lid on to the jar.

Use your bills for everything and collect your change. Dump your change each day into the jar.

When the jar get's filled all the way, break open the jar in a plastic bag or paper bag with a hammer-be careful with the glass of course, gather the change up and take it to a coinstar machine (find one near you-www.coinstar.com) and cash in the change.

Another hint-hide the jar well, but in a place you can remember, like under your bed or in the bottom corner of the closet in your bedroom.

Get a piggy bank with no opening at the bottom. You can save money that way. Or get shoe boxes or an old book and cut the pages of the middle out and put it in there.

Saving bonds, I believe you have to wait 6 month to a year to cash them after purchase.

Invest in a CD, it guarantees the money and sets it up so you don't touch it.

Very smart idea!
