My great-grandmother has a son. What is he in relation to me?

Is he a great-uncle, or just an uncle?

Assuming he's not your grandfather, then he would be your "Great Uncle". I've heard the relationship referred to by some people as "Grand Uncle", but I think the accepted term is Great Uncle.
