I thought it was 8, but I think I feel more energized during the day when I get 7 hours instead of 8. So is it actually 7 and not 8?

it really depends on you. If you feel better after 7 hours, then that's good for you. I know I feel groggy if I get to much sleep and I feel sluggish if I don't get enough

One would think 8 hours is enough for anyone. But, my daughter who is 25 and a pharmacist, does 10 hours each weekday, and on the weekends it's like 12-14 hours. She takes after her mother who is also in the Medical Field.

If you're feeling fine with 7, go with it. I find that I feel better rested with "odd" number of hours of sleep, 5-7-9 vs "even" number of hours of sleep, 4-6-8. Stick with what makes you feel best.

Between 6-8 hours a night is fine for an adult, as long as youo arn't tired by mid-morning.

8 is only an average, for some it is 6 or 7, for others it may be 9
