The very best place for info about any boardgame you can think of is at boardgamegeek.com. The page for Risk is at http://boardgamegeek.com/game/181. Risk is a great introductory game for newcomers to the boardgaming hobby; most people I play boardgames with were introduced to Risk as one of their first games, usually around grades 6-8. If you like Risk, the next games you might want to try include many other offerings by Avalon Hill/Hasbro such as Axis and Allies, Nexus Ops, or Samurai, not to mention the various other Risk variants; or possibly Attack! by Eagle Games or Memoir '44 by Days of Wonder.

Yes. I haven't played in years, but I love Risk. Although, it was much more fun when there were at least four players. This question really brought back memories. I think I'll have to find this game again and go out and buy it.

I love the game RISK but, the game takes a while to finish. Everytime I play RISK with my friends, someone knocks the board over and saids "I win!".

I used to play it when I was younger, we have 6 players and played from nite till dawn... it was fun... well, sometimes u get aliented by other players, sometimes u teamed up with others... u must have good sporty spirit, else end up unhappy and even quarrel over the why team up topic... It is truely a good game to kill time and spend time with frens and family... If the game is too long, try the strategy card.. once the mission is complete, the game is over.... I love the game!

I love it. I also love Risk 2210 (though I have trouble finding players) and Risk II for the PC, which I think is the greatest version of the game you can find for a computer.

We used to play it for money back in college. We also came up with all sorts of rules for it, including the chain reinforcment, the festering card, the nuclear development sequence and the cthulu rules. The nukes and elder god were in place to make sure the game actually ended at some point.

You need to expand from Australia. Never try to take on Asia.

Hitler never played Risk, apparently. Nor Napoleon.

I like the new ones, like "Future Risk"

Yes - I discovered it as an adult and really like it! I've played the board game and the computer game, too. An ex-boyfriend turned me on to it and then was sorry because I quickly learned how to beat the pants off of him!

Simple and fun, Risk is perhaps the greatest "war game" ever created.
