Is there a compatability problem with IE7 and Netzero?

I use Netzero dial up and every time I try to install IE7 it seems to install successfully, but then never works. As soon as I connect to the Internet (when IE loads) the computer freezes and will not allow me to use the browser at all. I have to do a hard reboot to get everything working again.
