when done correctly, it issupposed to be painless,and instantaneous.

If done correctly, your head will pop off your neck and you will die instantly. This is the correct method for hanging deaths and how the gallows were intended to be used.
This nonsense of hanging on the end of the rope swinging in the wind is the problem of the people trying to live more so than anything else.

Whenever being hanged to death is done properly it is not suposed to be painful, because it is not as many assume, restricting the passage of air into the person, but actually (when done properly) snaps/breaks their necks killing them instantaneiously.

Only two states in the US retain hanging, and it's mostly deemed cruel and unusual punishment...many methods of hanging, the "long drop" (over 6 ft) most likely to decapitate.

Yes, it breaks the neck and cuts off the air supply to the lungs and the blood supply to the brain.

Hard to say, no one has ever lived through DEATH by haning to let us know. Ther are some that didn't die who said it was painful.

like turning off a light switch! the muscles react for awhile but it is quick,unless your head leaves for other areas?

when u are hung ur neck usually breaks and then u suffocate so i m guessing it is pretty painful

don't know.. I've only been hung uncorrectly and it hurt pretty bad....
