I am a member of Dykes on Bikes and enjoy playing softball, especially if there is a keg to tap after the game. Life is good, and I am loving life. Life is too short to be miserable all the time. Don't you agree?

I agree, life is way too short to be spent not enjoying it. All the lesbians I know have great attitudes, though, and it sounds like you do, too.

I don't think attitude really has anything to do with sexual orientation. I've met a lot of people with bad attitudes, and most were straight. But, nothing against straight people, since many of my friends are straight. Actually, all my gay and lesbian friends have really good attitudes. Myself? Even though I wasn't out when I was younger and insecure, as an out adult I am accepted by my friends, family and coworkers, and I have a wonderful partner who loves me and lives with me. We are very happy (maybe not rich, but happy!).

I agree and to answer your question that is one of the reasons I couldn't and still find trouble handling a couple of my bisexual/bicurious relatives because they can be a bit on the bitchy side. True, they aren't completely gay and only one of them has actually done anything with women (and that's the one I have trouble with relating to, she has personally hurt me with her attitude prior to her practices) but they seem to be complete lesbians sometimes. They weren't the type to be very interested in guys though they had comforts and interests in sex (but not so much when I was growing up) and they rarely dated. True one is married, but she didn't date much. Plus they always seem to be male bashers and didn't like it when I was boy crazy at a young age. (around 10-12, my most boy crazy years)

Lesbian or not, I'm sure the attitude comes with the personality, not the sexual preference.
