Okay my friend is letting me hold her sims 2 nightlife expansion pack first disk so i can add special features to my sims 2 holiday edition will i need to keep the disk or can i use my old sims 2 one?

The most recent expansion pack downloaded on your computer is the CD you need to insert into your computer to play the Sims. In your situation, since you will be installing nightlife to add onto the Sims, you must use the nightlife CD to play the game. If you own another expansion pack or are planning to buy one though, just install nightlife first and then install your other expansion pack so you will be able to play all of them using your own CD. Once you install nightlife expansion you need to use the nightlife disk to play sims 2

I think you have to use the Nightlife disk to play Sims2 if thats the latest expansion pack you've installed onto your computer. Thats how it worked with Sim1, not sure about Sim2 as I don't have any of the new expansion packs just the game.
