Horror movie- Texas Chainsaw Massacre(the original), Night of the Living Dead, Halloween or Alien( sorry I can't choose.)

Horror novel- The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty(way better than the movie)

but H.P. Lovecraft or Edgar Allan Poe are the best horror writers ever.

Non Fiction- Book of the Dead: The Complete History of Zombie Cinema by Jamie Russell

Graphic novels- The Walking Dead or Hellblazer

Magazines- Rue Mourge or The Dark Side

Movies: The Haunting (1963), Cat People (1942), The Changeling (1984), A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween....

Novels: The Haunting of Hill House (Shirley Jackson), It (Stephen King), Dracula (Bram Stoker), The Shining (Stephen King),

plus stories by H.P. Lovecraft, Robert Bloch, Algernon Blackwood, Poe,

If you can get your hands on a copy of "The Other" by Thomas Tryon (maybe your library has it, or you could find a copy cheap on one of the used books sites), that one will set your hair on end. Tryon's "Harvest Home" is another good one. And, of course, if you haven't tried the classics---Frankenstein by Mary Shelley or Dracula by Bram Stoker, you should. Forget any movies you may have seen "based" on those books. The original stories are so much better.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE horror!! I really don't have a favorite, but I really like "Dawn of the Dead", "The Others", and the Evil Dead movies. In books, I love Dean Koontz. I've read "The Taking", "Intensity", "Velocity", and "Life Expectancy".

ME! ME! ME!

"Suspiria" is pretty wild, more psychologically scary and a little different - you've got to really like Dario Argento...

I don't really read horror books, I like books on other subjects, so sorry - can't help you there.
