the ones that teach you how to win votes from racists and sexists. I was just reading today how Barack Obama, if he were to run, would need to get 44% of white votes in certain states to win, and that is insurmountable in today's bigoted world. So if you can get people to forget you're African American as well as a woman, you'll be gold, however it seems that will be a very formidable task. Political science or law seems to be a good start for politicians though. Maybe something international, like international politics or international economics might be something to consider.

You'll want to be well rounded. Find something you can pursue with passion and you should be just fine. A review of former U.S. Presidents is revealing in that their undergraduate careers were varied.

Keep in mind:
-On average the 2006 college undergraduate changed their major 3 times before graduation.
-the number of students moving into graduate programs immediately after undergrad has increased steadily over the past decade.

Good luck! I'll look for you on the ballot!
