That debate has been going on since Euclid's time. It will depend on the definition of "a line". Gauss pointed out and developed spherical geometry, a non-Euclidean space, where parallel lines do intersect. But we do not live in spherical geometry, so the debate continues. Tell you what, you follow two lines that are deemed parallel out to infinity. You let us know if they meet after you get back.
