Sara Donati's "Into the Wilderness" series, begun as a sequal to "Last of the Mohicans." Truly excellent story-telling, and there's even a cameo appearance by Jamie and Claire following one of the battles.

Check Diana's website, as well. She often lists books she's read or is interested in; look for the Methadone List.

Well, I suggest Geisha a Life. It might be a refreshing read in comparison to Memoirs of a Geisha. Geisha a Life is written by Iwasaki Mineko. Arthur Golden based Memoirs of a Geisha on Mineko-san. He took her story, and sexualized it. Although Memoirs of a Geisha may be more dramatic, romantic, and thrilling, Geisha a Life is truthful. Arthur Golden told the public that Mineko-san sold her virginity, even though he knew she didn't. No real geisha ever sold her virginity. I really hope you consider reading Geisha a Life, that is if you want to know the truth.
