Whenever they get a grass burn and touched by another player they go down and wine about it. It's not a tough sport.

Em It is the only sport for real men. Other sports like American "football" just allow men to act out their homoerotic fantasies in public

Now when you watch soccer on TV in the US, you are watching a very Latin playing style, The fall down and complain to the refs for a foul is common in Mexico and South America.
But if you watch the German League or sometimes the english league there are always some hard knocks, not as many as football (thats a given, because thats what we like football for) or ice hockey but there is the potential for a hard collision every once and a while, if you know where to look.

Certain players do. A lightweight winger who relies on speed and skill might go down easily. And depending on his personality he might moan to the ref about it. However a 6 ft 4 centre back is likely to be a whole different story. Players care passionately about their teams which explains why they whine about decisions going against them. The teams they play for have history and tradition, we have clubs over 125 years old. Our fans are vastly more passionate than fans of most other sports. They can't be seated together in case fights break out, so fierce are rivalries.
It's a beautiful sport with emphasis on skill and technique with a certain amount of toughness required for certain positions. Maybe there are tougher sports - here in the UK we have rugby which is a much tougher sport but it is ultimately inferior, less popular and much less entertaining!

You go try and run around for 45 minutes of nothing but straight sprints when your only breaks are to get the ball for throw ins...... Dives are part of the game to help a player recooperate.... it stops the game with a foul so the player can recover while play is stopped.... and obviously u don't know that and they only have 3 subs PER GAME not like in football where if a running back gets tired after his 30 second break after every play he can just leave the field no you have to play the whole game....
you go try and play a full 90 minute game at the level of the Europeans.... you wouldn't last 5 minutes

No football is not a tough sport unlike hockey and american football. In football we don't have guys like Brashear and Urlacher who are huge monsters. But our game is the most popular and most exciting game in the world and football is the toughest game to become a professional in becuase of all the competition. Unfortunatly many players dive in football but that is also the case in hockey with players such as Gaborik and Ruutu who dive alot I think many sports have diving as a problem but we must get rid of it in all sports.

Are you watching Pee Wee Soccer or something!? Watch some Pro Soccer! You just say soccer players are babies because you can't play soccer, and you wish you could! Stop stereotyping soccer players because you 3 year old brother plays soccer at the YMCA, and he cries every time he falls!

umm no they dont. instead they just push the players back they dont whine, thats how you get the ball. it IS a tough sport.i know like 5 goalies in my league that have gotten hurt just from blocking a ball and getting hit in the face, or the person kicked it so hard that it sprained their hsoulder. and ive never gotten a grass burn, but no one whines. if anything american 'football' is gay and boring, soccer is wayy better. i think your just sterotyping soccer players when they're NOTHING like that

some of the toughest people i know are soccer players. the reason the pros do that is because that's what the referees have taught them to do. if the refs would stop calling fouls just because they fall down and act hurt, they would stop doing it.
