No. All the kites would be inside the atmosphere. If that logic were true, then wouldn't leaves on trees change our orbit?

I've often wondered what it would look like for just one person to lose touch with gravity and inertia. They'd just fly off to the left at several thousand km/h... ha... of course, with that sudden force, they'd probably just explode.

it would totally shift the axis of the earth and catapult us into some black hole in the universe..for the love of God, don't even suggest such madness!!!!

haha, I heard that if everyone jumped at the same time that would happen, but it was later disproved, I don't know how they researched that one, lol
