I need an outsiders perspective because I'm struggling with this right now. Can other people pick up on the fact that even though you're trying to open up, you still struggle with shyness?

I have that problem too, but it seems to take me deeper into the shyness. It's difficult. Friends may start to see that you're talking more, or at least trying to start up a conversation that will keep you talking. They might not see it as trying to open up. But keep doing it, you may not need people to see, you would be yourself.
:). Good luck.

I'm with ya. I have been struggling with shyness basically my whole life and I try to open up, I think people can tell that I am extremely shy. I am trying so hard to break out of this shyness but it is going to take me a while. Hopefully we both can stop being so shy.
