Depends. Not on how long you've been married but the reasons why. If it is adultery etc you can file as soon as you want. If it's just that he's had enough then have to be seperated 2 years, thats if he wants it to be straight forward. Just got divorced myself.

If it is in England, then the answer is you have to be legally married for 1 year before you divorce. This applies to both heterosexual marriages and civil partnerships.

A person can apply for divorce the next day of being married. But, if you are not married and have this question, you may want to re-think your decision of being married.
