Situation: 15 year old gets pregnant by 17 year old, who turns 18 at the end of February. Because he's less than three years older, and under 18, can he still get in trouble by the law? In Minnesota, the guy wouldn't get in trouble unless you TRIED to get him in trouble. My friend at 16 had a baby with a 25 year old and he didn't get in any trouble at all..

Every state has different laws about this. But the age of the girl is what usually determines if the boy will be punished.

That is so not statutory rape!! The boy needs to be at least 18 at the time of sex in order for it to fall under stat. rape. I hate when people push the rape card of any kind when both teen-agers were consenting to begin with!! Anyway, I'm sure nothing would be done unless the teen-age girl and/or her parents decided to pursue matters. Which brings up another point....does this 15 year old live at home with her parents, or on her own? Under law, when a teen-ager under the age of 18 lives on their own, they assume the rights of majority, and are therefore considered to be adults. Best of luck.

They are two kids. I think they should tel their guardians. If they just made a mistake them make the mistake go away. And be safe next time, "Use a raincoat"
