If you are doing a study, an internet poll does not count. You need to use scientific method. You really can't gather data on this forum and demonstrate any scientific relevance.
Your professors at U of M (whatever U that might be) should be teaching you how to correctly design a study.
Otherwise your parents are wasting a lot of money!

It depends on the state of the bathroom I am in. Sometimes I dont even want to walk into the bathroom, let alone sit down on the toilet seat, in which case I hover. Never have I put toilet paper on the seat.. if it's enough to gross me out, no part of my body will be coming close to the toilet!

Some of these answer are really gross.
Maybe your study should ask how many ladies lift the seat, before they Hover.
No wonder they say the women restroom is always worse then the Men's.
Then they have the nerve to complain about the men not lifting the seats.
The ole saying still goes;
If you sprinkle when you tinkle be a sweetie and lift the seatie.
Now as one stated, poopin on the seat and in the women restroom no less.
Come on now, that's enough for the men to not even want to use the ladies restroom. That's sick.

I put paper on the seat, but a lot of women hover. What I hate is when the hovering women pee on the seat and just leave it there. That's just disgusting!

I cover the toilet seat with toilet paper. Anyone who sits their bare butt on a public toilet without covering the seat is disgusting.

Majority put paper on the seat, but there are certain "groups" that don't - they hover. I find this to be so inconsiderate because most often they leave the seat with pee or unfortunately, poop, all over it!!!

I KNOW I SURELY SIT THERE AND PUT THAT PAPER ALL OVER THE SEAT AND IT GOES ON EVERY SINGLE PORTION OF THAT TOILET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BECAUSE IM NOT TRYING TO SIT ON NO GERMS FROM PEOPLE I DONT EVEN KNOW!!!! THATS JUST NASTY!! AND ACTUALLY I DONT THINK MANY WOMEN DO EITHER ONE THEY JUST SIT STRAIGHT ON THE TOILET!!!!!!! NASTY!! AN ITS BEST TO JUST HOLD IT AND DONT EVEN USE THOSE PUBLIC BATHROOMS!!

I wipe the seat with tp then hover as much as possible.

NEITHER, we sit right down...after all, I'm not LICKING the toilet seat, I'm putting my *** on it, and I wash that every day.
