She sounds like she's naturally competitive, which can or may not be a bad thing. She sounds like she doesn't realize it either. Sometimes you might not get the recognition you deserve, but as long as you know you're doing well, then that's all that matters. It may be that she needs other people's approval to feel good about herself, and that's one thing you dont need! Don't think that you need a shiny medal or constant praise to the class from your teacher about you to feel good about yourself. Sure, your friend might be good at things, but so are you. I don't reccomend telling her straight out how you feel right now. She could just be trying her hardest, and her friend shooting her down isn't exactly what she wants to hear. If she never congratulates you on any of your achievements, then you might want to think your friendship over. It's nice to give her some glory, but she needs to recognize yours too. Find something you are really good at, like a certain sport, acting, drawing, whatever you think is your thing. Then you can have your own special talent that no one can beat, and it'll make you feel good about yourself. Good luck!

Take spelling first thing. Learn to love yourself. Study hard and you too can be, " Ms. Perfect."
