how many planets are there?

Where? In this solar system? Depends on who is counting. There used to be 7, then 9 when they discovered Pluto. Now its not a Planet.
Around other stars, at lest 150 planets have been discovered so far. It is believed there are millions out there.

Our planets is actually 9, but as if now we discovered that it is already 8 because the last planet pluto is not considered as a planet beacuse it is too small and some characteristics of planet is not present in the pluto...........

Technically, we have eight planets in our solar system. Scientists have determined that Pluto is not a planet.

Other planetary systems would have varying numbers of planets.

In our solar system, there are now 8. There used to be 9, but they don't count Pluto anymore.
