i need help in the game "Neverwinter Nights"... about the items... such as "Ale", "Spirits"... etc..

I just want to know what they do... and can i sell them... or even if i should

or else... where can i get help on these items... help!
I have Platinum edition... but that shouldn't matter... just in case

I use Bless and Barkskin all the time.

Bless gives you advantages on your saving throws, and I think it pushes up your chance of criticals.

Barkskin increases your defense.

Potion of Bull's Strength is pretty much like it sounds - it temporarily increases your strength. This can help to increase your damage.

One way to test the potions is to use them...Save your game, then use the potion. Once you have used it, the modifiers will show up next to your character image, and you'll be able to see what it did to you. After you have figured it out, reload the game where you just saved, so that you don't have to waste the potion.

I'm pretty sure that Aventurine and Malachite are just gems that you can sell for money.

I haven't figured out Ale & Spirits yet, but am assuming that I will need to use them on someone, or give them to someone, so I haven't gotten rid of them. I don't think they're worth much. I used Ale on myself at one point (I think I was at the inn), and it only slowed me down...I think it may have temporarily decreased my intelligence, as well (kinda like real life, I guess!!).

Depending on your character class, you may or may not want to keep the potions. I'm a paladin, so I don't have a lot of magic available to boost my skills on my own - I need the potions desperately. You may not need them like I do, so I can't really say if you should keep them or save them.

I sell any gem I get that has a value of more than 1 gp.

Ale and spirits don't do anything that I could find. Potion of Bless will up your abilities for a short time. Bull's Strength increases your strength temporarily. Barkskin will protect you from damage for a short time (Stoneskin is better but there is no potion). Aventurine and malachite are gems that you can sell for gold. I tend to sell all of the items you listed because I usually don't need them.

Is this the PC version? That's the only one I ever played. From what I remember, none of those items are really that great.
