Sorry but I cannot get it. How could terrorists attack America from the South Pole?

Suppose that terrorists were in Iraq, Afganistan, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Suppose the terrorists camps were there. But how could the terrorists be a threat to the USA if the camps are way too far from US border? Do the terrorists have military aircraft, ballistic rockets, nuclear weapons to attack America.

9/11 attacks were possible because terrorists were here. I cannot understand how terrorists can attack America say from the South Pole?

Firstly, no one lives on the south pole. Secondly, these guys sneak into the country on school visas or illegally immigrate here and then carry out cowardly guerrilla attacks against us. This is how they do it

Terrorists are the most dangerous when we underestimate and ignore the extent of the devistation they are capable of - we must never measure a threat by the size of their army, the number of aircraft they possess or the fact that they don't have the military means to "attack" the United States.
The terrorists, if given enough time to plan and organize a terror attack, can "attack" the U.S. from anywhere in the world - simply by infiltrating this country and initiatiating their plan.
This fact should be plainly evident from the events of 9/11.
Given our present passive "open border" policies, infiltrating this country won't be exactly the most difficult part of their plan.

I guess you are starting to see the big picture. Iraq shares its borders with the two biggest terrorist sponsers on the planet. Iran and Syria. If we don't establish a soverign government in Iraq, and give them a means of self defense, one of thos two countries will take Iraq. When this happens, they will eliminate Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Israel. This will dash any hopes for peace in the middle east, and will also place the worlds oil supply in the hands of terrorists. The US will probably be cut off. Without that oil, our economy will crumble, our industries will die, and we will be living like the pilgrims did. When we are weakened like that, any country still getting middle east oil will pounce on us and destroy us. China, Russia, even Iran could pull it off. They do have fighter jets, and it wouldn't take much to trade oil for missiles that could reach our shores. So, it's not a real stretch to understand why Iraq can not fall into the hands of Iraqn or Syria.

the whole "fighting terrorists in the street" idea that you hear every now and then is beyond naive...

terrorism, by definition, isn't an invasion or even fought in any type of conventional warfare...

they work in small groups and could never take over and they aren't even trying to take over... they are trying to do the only thing they can, cause fear and kill a large number of Americans in a single attack... usually suicidal...

they have no navy, air force... no way of moving large groups of people...

This wouldn't happen since all major countries already have independantly contracted military bases that are privately run in Antartica, ect. The war would actually take place on those contintents.
