Pick a quote, create some sort of terrible disaster sequence and use story telling techniques to embellish it (tone of voice, volume, tension).

I do have a solution to it - no motorized private transportation inside the city limits of any city with 20,000 people or more. Public transportation, bicycles, and feet only. Delivery and goods transport vehicles would need to burn propane which leaves water as a by-product. The average American household pays over $750 a month for a car and that doesn't include gas or insurance, so if every person paid $150 a month toward public transport it would save every family about $600 a month. Cars could be kept in garages outside the city limits or rented for trips outside the city. Even LA and New York would see the sun again.

Good morning/evening fellow Earth killers.....yes, I am talking to all of you including myself, everyday majority of us wake up, have a shower, turn the coffee pot on, use a toaster, spray our deoderant, drive our cars etc... without a second thought to what it is doing to the environment... when billions and billions of people do this everyday and have done for the last century it has slowly destroyed the earth's protective ozone layer.....yada yada yada
