Do you or your partner smoke, drink or take drugs? My husband used to smoke & drink a lot and as soon as he went on a detox, I immediately got pregnant. Could be a coincidence but he had been together having unprotected sex for 6 years prior. There are many reasons though, best to visit your gp for tests.

Go purchase an ovulation kit and begin to map your cycle. Mark when your period begins, the actual first day. Then start counting, I believe the kit will tell you that on the 12-14th day you should start peeing on the ovulation kit sticks. The kit will tell you when you are about to ovulate, it measures some LH surge. I can't remember the exact initials it gives but it measures a surge and this surge indicates you will ovulate within like 24-36 hours. When the line shows up on the ovulation stick make sure you have sex a few times within those two days. Have your partner drink some caffeine before sex, studies have shown it does actually speed up the sperm. My husband and I got the kit and followed the directions. I also purchased the book "Choosing the Sex of your Baby" It goes over a lot of things about conception and how to conceive a boy or a girl. We only tried once, and I got pregnant the first month that we mapped my cycle and used the ovulation kit. we wanted and boy and I am currently 34 weeks pregnant with our first child, a BOY!! Good Luck :)

If you have been actively trying to get pregnant for over a year, you can see a fertility specialist. If not, check out the book "Taking Charge of your Fertility" in order to track your cycles and increase your chances of having intercourse at the right times.

Try not to stress it causes fertility to drop and keep trying but my doctor told me that you try for a year on your own then go to the doctor and see whats wrong and maybe start the process to try other possible ways to get pregnant so i would recommend you going to your obgyn and getting help. good luck

Speak to your GP. He should refer you to a fertility specialist. Waiting lists/services do tend to vary from though. Depending on where you live. Unless you can afford to go private.
