Why are we still having problems with people whom commit hate crime?

Since the beginning of civilization people have looked for someone to dump on. It is still going on today in every country maybe especially the U.S.
It seems to be human nature, doesn't it?
Just be around the people who agree with your philosophy or religion.
Just do your little part to help the world be a little bit better place.
