"God Only Knows". Carl's voice is absolutely beautiful, Asher's lyrics are terrific (that "I may not always love you" line is one I used to dislike - now I love what the next few lines make of it), Brian's composition is to die for, and the harmony is simply the best ever in rock/pop music. In fact, as I watched McCartney videos yesterday on youtube, I came across some footage of the Beach Boys doing this in concert - only two or three had Carl singing. One is from '67, the other from '95. Such an amazing voice!

Brian looks a bit parched:) I just realized that '67 is a montage, but done quite well. I didn't even notice until I saw the notes underneath.
Beyond all of that, I love this song most because, beyond being one of the most magical and gorgeous songs ever, it brings me to those I love most in the world. I try to listen to it at least once a day. Too good. After reading your question, I listened to it again and again. It means more to me than I could ever describe in words. Thank you!
As for fast, it has to be "Good Vibrations". Yet another brilliant harmony, and yet another with Carl as lead singer. Love it. And to think it started as (according to Mrs. Wilson) a song about the instincts of dogs!

Really love Beach Boys music. My favorite song by them is Surfer Girl. It's a slower, ballad style song and I love ballads.

That's funny because the song Surf City was going through my head this morning.
"we're going to Surf City because it's two to one..."
But, I think Surfin' USA is my favorite, because it's so upbeat and fun.
