if courtney love didn't drive kurt to killing himself, would nirvana be still around? also, would david grohl have included what would later be foo fighter material for the subsequent nirvana albums?

Unfortunately for any Nirvana fan, I think that if Kurt had not killed himself but stayed using drugs, at the rate he was going he would of eventually over dosed or the band itself would off disappeared eventually cuz how long can you whine incoherently into a mike to the same three chords. As far as David providing his material to Nirvana, I don't think so. Kurt had a totally different view of the whole thing. He sounded more depressed while David's material sounds a little more happy-go-lucky.

I don't think that Nirvana would still be together today, even if Courtney Love hadn't killed him. The tensions and the drug use probably would have torn the band apart. I think that eventually Cobain would have seen Love for what she was and the marriage would have fallen apart in the same chaotic fashion the band would have. There would probably be a bitter custody battle and by now, the kid would be a media whore/media magnet that would have gotten Kurt and Courtney a lot of weird looks and bad publicity that Courtney would have gladly soaked up like the shameless, ditzy, coke, dope and anything-she-can-stuff-in-her veins headed attention seeking retard she has always been. There might be a little obvious, but unspoken tension and resentment between all the members, and probably the only thing they'd agree on is some form of hatred for Courtney, probably some somewhat justified reason for blaming her for the end of a great band and a beautiful friendship.

Yes, I think Nirvanna was a band that could have lasted a few more yeards and Dave probably would have still been their drummer.
