Yes, the hood piercing is just the skin over the clitoris. It is usually veritically done so the ball can rest on the clitoris. It is possible to pierce the actual clitoris, but many women do not have the right body type, nor are many piercers willing to do it. You can also get your inner and outer labia pierced, though they provide no physical enjoyment. Genital piercings in general heal much faster than others due to the natural lubrication that cleanses.
