They are jealous. And probably hurt. Maybe they haven't realized how great it is to have the campionship of a boyfriend. But they will. Just ignore them. One day they will realize how immature they are acting.

I think that most teenage girls will experience this at some point in some capacity. It's very easy for your friends to feel like you have abandoned them when you have a boyfriend. There can also be seeds of jealousy if you are dating and they are not. It can be even worse if one of the friends had a crush on your boyfriend. If I were you I would try to sit down and have a rational talk with them. Let them express their feelings to you without raising their voice and then you should have a turn to tell them how you feel. Good friends are hard to come by and it seems that being friends with them for three years that they were really really good friends. It also seems like those three years were a waste of time if you are going to let them slip through your fingers so easily. It's hard to imagine right now but your boyfriend might not always be your boyfriend and who will be there if he isn't? You need your friends to pick up the pieces of your broken heart or to celebrate your happiness with you.

Maybe you need to talk to them and ask them why they feel so mad at you? I mean obviously things will eventually change for all of you and you will not be able to spend as much time with one another. They probably feel that you ditched them in school for you boyfriend, and maybe you should ask yourself if you did. What if you and your boyfriends were to break up? who would you spend every minute with in school then? Maybe they are just completely being immature which a part of it is that way, but you either need to confront them and make some changes or say peace out!

They are probably jealous that you have a boyfriend and they dont.
Dont let them do that to you; dont allow it to bother you. If they were your real friends they wouldnt spread rumors about you; and make you feel bad about having a boyfriend.
If they dont like your boyfriend because he is abusive or something then they have a good reason.

I would try to make new friends- find a new hobby or talk to new people. You could find loyal friends that way.

No, they're probably dumping you because YOU dumped them first! You said this all started a short time after you started going out with this guy? I know exactly why. You've been the one blowing them off, according to your description. They don't need to spread nasty rumors and such, but hello! YOU seem to be the one bringing it upon yourself. Maybe you should spend a little bit more time with your friends.

They're not worth it. best friends shouldn't be spreading rumors about each other. if they were your true friends, they'd tolerate your boyfriend. it's sad to say, but they sound jealous. your being a true friend but for some reason they are holding for blame.

NOPE they're definately not worth it. i had grudges against my bestfirned's boyfriend & we've been friends for 10 years ( 13) & you know they sould respect it. they can opinoinate they dislike him & all but they shouldn't hate you for that. trust me .. friends now may not be your friends in years ! i rather have 1 best friend than 10 acquaintances !

I think you should ignore them and make new friends if possible. If not then go up to them and tell them exactly what you said here, if they are your friends they'll understand, if not then they aren't your real friends.

Your choice of who you have for a boyfriend should be your business not theirs.Someone trying to make you misserable is something you can afford to miss.
