I had a miscarriage and the doctor did an ultrasound and a blood test and said i am fine to start trying again. Why are other people scaring me by telling me i should wait a few months when my doc said i'm fine?

The doc knows better than a regular joe....so if you trust your doc....listen to him.

The docs seem to forget the pain and heartbreak that miscarriage can bring to a woman. From the moment you know you have life inside of you ,it becomes surreal. Its too much to understand instantaneously the huge impact it will have on you.Suddenly it all comes crashing down aroud you.Friends have only ever looked out for you. They want you to rest and be the person you always used too be,but after losing a baby you dont feel the same.never the less why let the past blight your future.Mine is a happy ending!I have a son of 15 and a daugther of 8.I am so lucky to have them

If your doctor said it was ok to try try again, then dont worry about everyone else. They may have your best interest at heart by worrying about you, but the doc wouldnt tell you something that would hurt you. I say go for it girl. Pregnancy is a wonderful thing and I wish you all the luck in the world with this next one. I will keep you in my prayers. God bless you.

Don't be scared. You might be fine to start trying again, but it might be better for your body to heal a bit. If the doctor says you can start trying then start. But from personal experience, just wait a couple months just so that your uterus is healed and that baby can stick to it. When you become pregnant again, go see the doctor quick. There might be nothing wrong, but you want to be safe. Good Luck

your doctor knows whats best. Do the other people have medical training? They're just telling you what seems logical to them without knowing anything about the subject.
Sometimes, too, people might be prone to wait for a few months to recover emotionally.
If you lost a lot of blood, they may be concerned about your iron levels, but if your doctor tested you, don't worry.

Listen to your doctor. If you have a funny feeling, get a second opinion from another doctor.
*hug*

I am so sorry...I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks and I can some what know what you are going through both physically and emotionally. You and your doctor know what is best for YOU.
I was told after I had 2 periods that everything would be okay and I later got pregnant with my 3rd child (son) without any complications.

Take care. :)

I had a miscarriage about a year ago and he told me to wait until I had two periods. He told me that it gave your body time to recopperate from the earlier pregnancy. He said it was the same reason they tell you not to have sex at least six weeks after having a baby, and you should really need to wait a year. Your body needs time to go back to normal, before you put it in shock again.

Don't worry about those other people. You and your doctor know your body and when you're ready to try again better than anyone else. Also, make sure you're emotionally ready. If you feel ready and Doc says it's okay, then do it.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, though.

Good luck!

Do as your doctor says , or what your body is telling you. Dont listen to other people. Only you no what is right, plus we all have different experiences. My doctor told me to wait one full cycle, but he did add that was only so we could date the pregnancy. I wish you lots of luck.
