Fraternities are worse than gangs. They exhibit pretentiousness and piety that even gangs don t run on. Frats are despicable people reveling in their wealth, vanity, and pretty much every thing that makes them feel good at the expense of others. Their charity is totally self-serving BS to put on their resume s.

Definitely not..Gangs don't do community service and philanthropic. The primary purpose of the fraternity/sorority community is to encourage and develop high scholastic achievement among its members. Most gang members do go to college. Nationally speaking, just over 50% of students in colleges and universities go on to graduate. However, U.S. Department of Education data shows that members of fraternities and sororities graduate at a rate in excess of 70%!

Not true, I am part of Phi Theta Kappa, and can tell you you must be mistaken if you do thinl we are like gangs. Obviously too much television, and movies do change the perception of these groups, but to tell you it is all about academics, and making friends. So they are not anything like gangs.And for the person who said white wealthy kids, can tell you am hispanic, and am from the working class, my family can barely pay the bills. that goes to the person who said this is for wealthy caucasian chkdren. You do not need money in order to join, as said it is all about academics.

No, they are a group of a bunch of guys that were tools in HS and need to have friends in college so they pay for them as they are not self-confident enough to find friends on their own.
