You can disable cookies in Internet Explorer but realize that many websites won't work without them (e.g. Google Personalized homepage).

In Internet Explorer, on the menu bar, tools > internet options > "privacy" tab > raise the bar to "high" > [Apply] > [O.K.].

First of all go to tools > internet options > privacy and move the cursor to top and u may go to security also.

Cookies can be handy little files to keep you from signing on to every web page every time you visit. I don't think you want to totally block them.

Instead why not get a free spy ware scanner that will clean the bad cookies.

You should have two anti spy ware programs.

Spybot and AdAware scan for and remove spy ware. Run them both about once a week. Get them both free here - http://www.download.com
