Is anyone else more than a little terrified that ANYONE still takes any notice of Jade Bloody Goody? I mean, to paraphrase possibly the only Big Brother contestant who was ever more annoying than her..."Who is she? Who IS she???!!"
Jade is not and never has been any kind of ambassador for the nation. It is of course true that she's neither tried nor claimed to be. There are, scarily enough, plenty more like her. But she's not a majority stereotype. The fact that a) anyone in her presence gives a damn what she says, and b) that it can have so immense an impact in the wider world, is truly frightening.

As for whether she's a racist or not, I don't know, I haven't watched this year's footage. But let's not forget this is a woman who first became famous for asking questions like "Brussels? Is that not in England?" If her behaviour is hurting another contestant, that should be stopped. The rest of the world should simply stop taking her anywhere near as seriously as it appears to do.

Maybe not embarrassed, but certainly concerned. I think that people like Jade represent a small portion of people in the UK who are like that. However, you find racists, ignorant, arrogant people in every country. This is just more prominent because it is playing of in the media and involves someone who thinks she is a celebrity.

We must remember that there are millions of other British people out there who are not like that at all. People who are friendly, tolerant and non-racist. It would be a shame to judge a whole nation on the actions of one clearly disturbed person with severe ego problems.

Still, she's not a good ambassador for the English.

I can not say I am embarrassed by her , she is just not thinking about what she is saying. Is she a racist, I don't think so it is the way it is portrayed. Jackson called her mother white trash (though she has not seen or heard that)is that racist? No one has said anything about that. It does come down to interpretation what I am embarrassed about is, the level of education she has received. And for all our sins we have put her where she is, we are watching .

She is an absolute disgrace and an utter embarrassment to the UK. An intelligent, gracious, talented Indian woman, and two seemingly decent American blokes will leave the BB experience thinking that this is what people from the UK are all like - fat, ignorant, thick, racist, ugly bushpigs...

Oh yes yes yes!!!

I am a fan of BB, and feel Jade is simply a product of her mother, need I say more, and a publicity machine, she admits she is fick!
But when I watch the behaviour or the three witches of East wick on BB, I feel ashamed and hope that people do not judge us all by these three s disgraceful behaviour, its making me CRINGE!

I'm sorry to say that i think much of this nation is like her. Things have gone downhill terribly in this country in recent years. I just can't put my finger on why.
I think that true virtues must be taught in India like respect and manners and decency which have gone out of fashion here. Why do we make celebrities of scumbags. We need someone like Paul Mccartney in there - highly talented, intelligent, decent, humourous, lighthearted yet humble. He is a true represantative of Britain when it was great, before it went to the pits

Anyone would be stupid to think that all English are like Jade Goody - she is in a world of her own!
